ℹ️ As of February 25, 2025, we've introduced two key updates to ELD integrations. First, we now validate credentials before saving, so you’ll instantly know if they’re incorrect, eliminating confusion. Second, the integration card UI has been revamped for clearer status indicators and a more streamlined deactivation process. These improvements aim to make managing integrations faster and more straightforward.
If you have a ConnectedSuite Telematics account with ThermoKing, you can see the location and temperature / operating mode setting on your trailers
Requesting Credentials
Setting up the Thermo King integration requires the user to have an existing account with Thermo King. To successfully set up the integration, the tenant would require the credentials for their rest API user: External Customer ID, Username and Password. The information can be requested from Thermo King via their support email tracking@thermoking.com.
Example of the Credentials
Username: webservice.rest.userxxxxx@email.com
External Customer ID: A000000B-C000-0D00-00EF-G00H00I00J0K
Setup the Integration
Navigate to Integration
Expand the ELD section of the integrations list and click on the crayon icon from the Thermo King integration box:
This will open a dialog box where you would be prompted to enter the Client ID, Username and Password. Once those have been entered, please click the Save button:
Add the Thermo King asset ID to assets within Alvys
Before starting this step, you'll need to have your trailers set up in the Alvys TMS.
Find the Assets option in the left-side menu, then select trailers.
From the list of assets, find and double-click the particular asset you are ready to assign. This will open the Edit Asset page.
On the asset page, scroll down to find the ELD Integrations section, then click the blue Add Integration button. Then, the Add Integration pop-up window will appear.
In the Add Integration window, click the drop-down menu and select Thermo King.
Next, find the Thermo King asset ID, (the trailer number on Thermo King) into the Integration ID field in the Add Integration window.
Click the blue Save button. Then, repeat steps 2 through 6 for the rest of your Thermo King trailers.
