Excited to enhance your logistics operations by posting loads on DAT directly from Alvys? Follow these simple steps to get everything up and running smoothly!
Step 1: Request Access
First things first, let's get you the access you need. Please reach out to DAT to request your integration credentials. Here's how:
Send an email to techsupportteamleads@dat.com
Include your details as registered with DAT:
Your Company Name
Main Contact Information: Name and Phone Number
Any Unique Identifier (like your MC Number or Address)
Mention you're looking to use the REST API
A Service Account Email: This is a special email for integration purposes. If you don't have one, DAT suggests creating a new email account specifically for this. Ensure it's an email not already registered with DAT.
Step 2: Set Up in Alvys
Once DAT confirms your credentials are good to go, it's time to link things up in Alvys:
Head over to the Integrations: Navigate to the Integrations section of the Alvys Management page. Pick the subsidiary you're setting this up for and look for the Loadboard section.
Edit DAT Settings: Click on the pencil icon on the DAT card.
Input Your Credentials:
Service Account Email: The email DAT set up for your service account.
Username: Another email under your DAT account to post loads with.
Password: Your service account password from DAT.
Default Posting Email: The email that will show in the comments on your posted loads. This can be the same as the username.
Save: Don’t forget to hit save to apply your settings!
Step 3: Post load to load board
Auto Posting: The load will be automatically posted to the DAT Loadboard every 5 minutes if auto-sync is enabled.
Manual Posting: The load can be manually posted to DAT once it is created within the load details by using the "Post Shipment" button, regardless of whether auto-sync is turned on or off.
Once posted, the load will be marked as Posted To: DAT and will display the corresponding icon on the load board.
❗Please ensure that the DAT User permission is enabled in order to have the option to post the load.
