BastPass is a Toll integration allowing you to track tolls your assets accrue. BestPass will retire their current SOAP API, and subsequently will be using a new REST API for partner integrations. Therefore, the steps to activating the integration has been modified.
To activate the new integration successfully, you will have to add integrations@alvys.com under your BestPass account users and enter your BestPass account number into the Alvys platform.
Part 1: Add BestPass Integration to Alvys
Navigate to the Management section of Alvys by clicking on your profile on the upper lefthand side of the screen.
Select Integrations tab from the top
Go to the Tolls section and then click on the pencil icon next to the BestPass new option
Then using the links provided in the description, navigate to the BestPass portal to add integrations@alvys.com as a contact.
Once you’ve added integrations@alvys.com as a contact, navigate to Alvys and enter your Account ID.
Then select which subsidiaries you want this integration to apply to.
Select Save at the bottom.
Part 2: Add Transponder IDs to Each Truck
From the blue Alvys toolbar on the left hand side, navigate to the Assets page and then select "Trucks".
Select the truck from the list which corresponds with the transponder number.
Scroll down to find the "Pass Details" section of the page. Select whether or not to deduct tolls, then select BestPass new in the Issued By field. Now, add the transponder ID in the Pass Number field.
Click "Add Pass" to save changes. Repeat steps 1 - 4 for all other trucks that will use BestPass
The BestPass integration automatically updates nightly via API.
Part 3: Viewing Results
From the Alvys toolbar, select Reports and navigate to the Toll Report.
Once you enter the search criteria and click the Search button, you will be able to see tolls for specific assets over a given period of time. At least one search parameter is required to be entered.
