Auto-Assign Fleets to Loads

Looking to automate which fleets are assigned to loads? Alvys allows you to match your fleets to specific assets assigned to the load which helps save an extra step and reduces error. This article will help you get started.

Navigate to the management → fleets and look for the “auto-assign loads” banner. Next, click “add automation”.

Choose an “asset fleet” which the load should assume. Basically you’re telling alvys “hey match the fleet on my load to the truck, trailer or driver’s fleet that’s also added on this load.

Choose a fleet default for external carriers. In some cases the load is covered by an external carrier and needs a default fleet. We recommend creating a fleet called “external” then selecting that one for reporting purposes.

Finally you should see the banner change to an active state indicating that fleet auto-assignment is working. To disable this, simply click edit and disable the automation.
