File Variants

File variants are the different formats and sizes of a single image or video file in PXM. The variants you see are based on your Image Conversion Settings. This guide shows you how to find a file's variants and open or copy their links.

If you need different or more variant options, reach out to your system admin or CSM. Admins can learn more in Image Conversion Settings.

Image Variants

One image can have many variants, in different file types (for example JPG, PNG, and WebP) and sizes (for example Large, Medium, and Small).

To find an image's variants:

  1. On the Home page, click the Folder that holds your product (for example, Women).

  2. Click the product to open it. The product opens on MEDIA > IMAGES.

  3. Click the image you want to open its details.

  4. On the right, click VARIANTS to expand the section. Variants are grouped by size (for example LARGE, MEDIUM, and SMALL), and each size lists its file types (for example JPG, PNG, and WEBP) with their dimensions. Scroll the panel to see more sizes.

  5. Each variant row has three buttons. Click COPY LINK to copy the variant's CDN link so you can share it, OPEN LINK to view the variant in a new tab, or DOWNLOAD to save the file.

Tip: You can also search for a file. Type in the search bar, click the FILES tab under the search bar to see individual files, then click the file and open VARIANTS.

Video Variants

Videos have fewer variants than images. A video's variants are the original file, an MP4 file, and a JPEG preview image.

  1. Search for the video and click it to open its details.

  2. On the right, open the VARIANTS section.

  3. Click OPEN LINK to view a variant, or click COPY LINK to copy its CDN link.
