How to Manually Add New Category and Collection Folders in Amplifi

Adding new category folders and collection folders manually in Amplifi is straightforward. This guide will walk you through the process. For bulk operations, consider using our import template to save time.

Steps to Add New Category Folders:

  1. Locate Your Root Folder:

    • Navigate to the root folder where you want to add new folders.

    • Click on the three dots on the left-hand side of the folder name.

    • Choose "Add New Folder" to create a folder at the same hierarchy level.

    • Choose "Add New Subfolder" to create a nested folder.

  2. Name Your Folder:

    • Enter a unique name for your folder.

    • Note: Folder names must be unique within the system.

    • You can enter any permissioning information here.

    • “Save and Close”

Steps to Add New Collection Folders:

  1. Locate your Parent Folder:

  • Navigate to the folder where you would like your Collection Folder to be.

  • Click on the three dots on the left-hand side of the folder or subfolder name.

  • Choose "Add New Subfolder" to create a nested folder.

2. Make it a Collection Folder:

  • Switch the top toggle from "Category Folder" to "Collection Folder".

  • Name your collection folder, and add an Additional Title if desired.

  • Click "Save and Close".

Once created, you can now add attributes, images, and other relevant data to your collection folders manually or via import.
