If you encounter the an error message indicating "Error generating EMIS payload" when saving a document or finalising a request. This is because the EMIS servers are unable to process the volume of data currently. Here are a few steps to help resolve this issue.

For Finalising requests:

  1. If there are large images, right click on any images then click "Save image as", save it in a recognisable location (ie. Desktop), so you can manually upload this under the EMIS record if you'd like to retain the images.

  2. Remove the images in the request view by clicking the bin icon on the top right corner of the image.

  3. If there any attachments in the request. This is under "Plan" in the middle panel and last on the list under "Attachments". Click on the cross icon to remove for saving.

  4. Lastly, this can also be due to a large number of codes under the Notes section of the middle panel. It's recommended to reduce the list by removing some codes using the cross when you hover over the code.

For Saving documents to record:

  1. Disable the "Attach document" toggle beside the Save to record button.

  2. Download the document using the download icon on the top navigation bar or under the Actions tab > Download document.

  3. Manually upload the downloaded document to the patient record in EMIS.
