How to Re-register a Pet to a New Owner via Animal ID Support

Changing the pet's owner can only be done through our support team. Below is a step-by-step guide explaining how to request the transfer of a pet to a new owner.


1. Verify the Petโ€™s Registration ๐Ÿ“‹

  • Ensure the pet is registered in the Animal ID database.

  • If the pet is not registered, you can register it by yourself.


2. Request from the Former Owner (if the pet is registered under your profile) โœ‰๏ธ

  • Log into your Animal ID account. ๐Ÿ”‘

  • Send a message to our support team via chat or email support@animal-id.net

  • In your message, include:

    • The microchip number or pet ID.

    • The email address of the new owner (email must be registered in our database).

  • Submit your request. Our support team will verify the details and respond regarding the transfer of the pet to the new owner's profile. ๐Ÿ˜Š


3. Request from the New Owner (if the pet is registered under previous owner) ๐Ÿ“ฉ

  • Log into your Animal ID account. ๐Ÿ”‘

  • Send a request to our support team via chat or email support@animal-id.net

  • In your request, include:

    • The microchip number or pet ID.

    • Attach a document that proves your ownership (e.g., a scanned copy of all pages of the petโ€™s veterinary passport, a purchase agreement, etc.).

  • Submit your request. Our support team will review the information and inform you if the pet can be transferred to your profile or if additional documents are needed. ๐Ÿ˜Š
