Introducing enhanced data‑preparation tooling in Synthace—pivot your DOE datasets, apply transformations like mean/stdev in‑platform, and launch response analysis in just a few clicks.
Overview of Data Preparation
The new data preparation functionality is part of the Synthace platform.
you can reshape, calculate, and review data as part of their analysis workflow.
Reshaping Data
Navigate to the 'Structure DOE Data' section to access the data preparation interface.
The interface includes three tabs: Reshape, Calculate, and Review.
In the Reshape tab, you can modify the structure of the data table in preparation for downstream analysis.
you can pivot data against multiple columns or factors, such as replicates and quasi-replicate factors (e.g., drug).
Learn more about data reshaping here.
Calculating Data Transformations
After reshaping, navigate to the Calculate tab to perform calculations on the data.
Common calculations include mean and standard deviation, with more complex transformations available in future videos.
To apply a mean transformation:
Name the transformation (e.g., 'Mean Response').
Select the columns for the transformation, with the option to exclude certain replicates.
Synthace generates a new column for the mean response after applying the transformation.

Reviewing Data and Starting Analysis
In the Review step, you can:
Download the data with new calculated columns (e.g., mean response).
Start the analysis by launching the response analysis app.
We recommend you save drafts throughout the process to ensure data integrity.

Final Steps and Data Management
Upon starting the analysis, you will be prompted to name the data preparation session. Provide a clear name for you data preparation session.
You can return to the prepared data step to view saved versions of their prepared data, allowing for restoration and editing as needed.
