Pick your input plates
Unless you tell Synthace about some input plates that you prepared in advance, when you simulate your workflow, Synthace will:
check which plate types you want to use for your input plates;
calculate how much of each source liquid you will need;
work out how many input plates you will need to support that volume; and
tell you how to prepare those input plates.
All you have to do is select the plate types that you want to use for your input plates.
Note: If you prepared your input plates in advance, ignore this article, and use the Define Liquids and Plates element to tell Synthace about them instead.
From the builder, open the Workflow Settings.
Beneath Input Plate Types, click New Plate Types, then Plate Type.
From Plate Types, select a plate type that you want to use, then click Select.
Plate Type Filtering
In both the workflow builder and the plate inventory, there is now an option to filter plates by compatibility with a specific device. This matches the plates defined in Synthace against the plates from the selected device's configuration.
β
When selecting the labware you wish to use via the plate type selection interfaces and Plate Types Inventory, Synthace will automatically filter the list of labware based on the device you have select.
β
ποΈ For plate selections being made in the workflow builder, this device filter will be automatically populated by the device being used for the stage to which this plate selection belongs to. When working in the Builder, the device assigned to your workflow stage will automatically filter plate-type selection interfaces for plates that are compatible with that device!
β
π€ For liquid handlers with accessible devices, such as plate readers, you will as get an indication when a plate type you have selected is compatible with both the liquid handler and accessible device.
