Using templates

Templates are the least complex way to create a workflow, which makes it ideal for people who are new to Synthace.

Updated over a year ago

Templates, also known as "the form", allow users lock parts of a workflow - only allowing edits to specific parameters. This allows users to rapidly create workflows by only specifying the minimum amount of information possible.

Create a workflow from a template

  1. From the Synthace homepage, go to New > From Template.

  2. Click the template from which you want to create a workflow.

    null

  3. Change the values of the inputs.

    null
  4. Optional: Change the devices.

    1. Click Select Devices.

    2. Select the devices that you want to use, and, if necessary, a configuration.

      null

    3. Click SAVE.

  5. Optional: Change the configuration.

  6. Simulate the workflow.

Use the builder

Templates only display a subset of the inputs to the original workflow. If you want to change the values of more inputs, create a copy of the workflow in the builder.

  1. Click β†—.

The workflow opens in the builder.

  2. Click Create a copy in Builder.

Synthace creates a copy of the workflow and opens it.

Tip: If you want to open the copy again later, Synthace displays it on the DRAFTS tab.

  3. Change the values of the inputs to the workflow.

  4. Simulate the workflow.
