Add titles and descriptions to element groups

The articles in this section explain how to add scientific context to your workflows.

Get started

  1. Read the introduction to this series of tutorials, then complete all of the previous tutorials in the series. For more information, click here.

  2. Create a new workflow in the Builder (for more information, click here), or open a workflow you have already built.

Add a title to your element group

  1. Double-click the title of an element group to enter edit mode.

  2. Add a title to the element group that describes the scientific context of what these elements do in your workflow.

    Tip: Alternately, click the three dots in the top-right of the element group, then click Rename.

Add a description to your element group

  1. Click Add Description at the bottom-right of your element group to open the description in edit mode.

  2. Add a detailed scientific context to help describe the scientific intent of this part of your workflow.

Edit a description for your element group

  1. Double-click the element group description to enter edit mode.

    Tip: Alternatively, click the three dots in the top-right of your element group to open the context menu, then click Edit Description.

Hide or show element group descriptions

  1. After you add a description, click Hide Description at the bottom-right of your element group to hide it.

  2. Click Show Description at the bottom-right of your element group to display it again.
