Download structured data

Download the results your execution in a structured format, without the need to visualise them first.

Updated over 7 months ago

After Synthace automatically associates the results with your execution (or you do so manually), you can download them from the Executions page.

On the Results tab, beneath Data Export, click Download Execution Data.

After you click Download, Synthace:

  1. Associates each plate’s datasets with each other, as well as information about the liquids present in that plate;

  2. Assesses the responses from each dataset to see if they’re from a plate reader experiment (or otherwise);

    1. If they are from a plate reader, Synthace extracts the absorbance, fluorescence, wavelength and bandwidth responses and combines them with a timestamp; or

    2. If the responses aren't from a plate reader, Synthace appends them to the plate layout data;

  3. Creates a table where each well is represented by a single row of data; then

  4. Adds links to the raw input data files in a metadata table which Synthace includes in the structured data zip which exposes how they have been used to structure the dataset.

Note: Due to how the data is structured, Synthace outputs multi-well readings, LabChip and HPLC datasets as separate tables in the zip archive. While they’re not structured like plate reader data, Synthace still adds the corresponding liquid data to the raw data.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see the download button on the Results tab!

If the Download button is disabled on the Results tab, then your execution contains no data.

In this scenario, you need to upload raw results to the Results tab directly. Click here to learn how.
