Answer
If your organization uses ANVL with other Benchmark Gensuite applications, some Group changes should be reviewed because they may affect how sites are mapped across systems.
Not every Group update affects integrations. In general:
structural or hierarchy-related changes should be reviewed
local configuration changes usually do not need integration review
If ANVL is used standalone, these considerations do not apply..
Steps
Confirm whether your organization uses ANVL with other Benchmark Gensuite applications.
Identify the Group change you are planning to make.
Decide whether it is a structural / hierarchy change or an ANVL-only configuration change.
If the change affects site structure, hierarchy, or mapping, contact your Benchmark Gensuite account representative or submit a Support / Help Me request before or immediately after making the change.
After the change, confirm any required mapping updates were completed and validated.
Group Changes That Require Review
The following actions may impact cross-platform site mappings and must be reviewed:
Change Type | Why Review Is Needed |
Adding a new Group (Site) | New sites must be mapped to the Benchmark Gensuite hierarchy |
Archiving a Group (Site) | Both the site in ANVL and site in Benchmark Gensuite should be archived OR the site mapping between the two platforms must be updated. |
Re-organizing Sites | Mapping updates may be required. |
Changing Org / Sub-Org relationships | Mapping updates may be required. |
Group Changes That Do Not Require Review
The following changes typically do not affect Benchmark Gensuite mappings:
Change Type | Notes |
Updating site name or description | Naming-only changes |
Adjusting time zone or other group settings | ANVL-only behavior |
Adding Workflow Categories | Required for ANVL workflow deployment only |
Adding Work Item Categories | ANVL-only configuration |
Important notes
New Groups may need to be mapped before cross-platform reporting works correctly.
Archived Groups may require either matching archive actions in the connected platform or updated mapping logic.
If you are unsure whether a change affects integrations, treat it as a review-needed change and ask first.
The goal is to keep site structure, reporting, and data alignment consistent across systems.
