Answer

Use Group Management in the ANVL Admin Portal to edit Work Folder Categories for a Work-First organization. These categories appear to end users as Categories when they create or edit Work Folders.

Changes apply immediately at the Group level, so updates affect the live user experience right away. Work Folder Categories are Group-specific and must be updated separately for each Group.

Do not edit these categories if your organization is Workflow-First. In that setup, users see a single Workflow First category, which should not be changed.

Steps

  1. Open ANVL Insights.

  2. Select Welcome, [Your Name].

  3. Select Admin Portal.

  4. Open Group Management.

  5. Use search or filters to locate the Group you want to update.

  6. Scroll to the Work Folder Categories column.

  7. Click into the Work Folder Categories field for that Group.

  8. In the pop-up window, make the needed changes:

    • add a new category

    • rename an existing category

    • delete a category

  9. If adding a category, enter the Category Name and select + Work Folder Categories.

  10. If renaming a category, edit the category name directly.

  11. If deleting a category, remove it from the list.

  12. Select Save.

  13. If a small pop-up Save button appears, select it first.

  14. Then select the larger Save button in the main editing window.

  15. Wait for the table to refresh.

  16. Confirm the changes were saved successfully.

These updated categories will then be available to end users when:

  • creating a Work Folder in the mobile app

  • creating or editing a Work Folder in ANVL Workflows or ANVL Insights

Important notes:

  • Only Work-First organizations should edit Work Folder Categories.

  • These categories do not inherit automatically across Groups.

  • Deleted categories cannot be automatically restored.

  • Changes apply immediately to live users.
