Getting Started

Frontline users download the ANVL app on any device:

  • iOS, Android, tablet, or browser

  • Supports single sign-on (SSO)

  • Uses the same login as the broader Benchmark Gensuite platform

Once logged in, users land on a home screen that serves as their one-stop hub for field work.

Key Areas of the Mobile App

Workflows

Workflows are step-by-step procedures built specifically for your organization.

  • Used for JSAs, inspections, observations, permits, and more

  • One question at a time—no long forms

  • Fully customizable prompts and logic

  • Time- and date-stamped for audibility

Workflows adapt based on answers and can trigger alerts, escalations, or follow-up questions in real time.

Rich Data Capture

ANVL makes it easy to capture high-quality frontline data:

  • Voice-to-text for open responses

  • Photo and video capture (live or from gallery)

  • Markups and annotations on images

  • Checklists, dropdowns, and crew selection

  • E-signatures

This results in more context and better leading indicators than paper or static forms.

Stop Work & Escalations

When a serious hazard is identified, ANVL can:

  • Prompt stop-work actions

  • Notify supervisors instantly (email, text, or in-app)

  • Display supervisor contact information

  • Record escalation details automatically

All responses are time-stamped to support investigations and reviews.

Assignments

Assignments ensure required workflows are completed on a schedule.

  • One-time or recurring assignments

  • Visible directly in the mobile app

  • Track in-progress and overdue items

  • Launch workflows directly from assignments

My ANVL Dashboard (Concerns)

Frontline users can log and track concerns directly in the app.

  • Submit concerns independently or from within a workflow

  • Attach photos and details

  • View real-time status updates as concerns are reviewed or investigated

  • See related incidents or actions tied to the concerns

This keeps frontline workers informed and closes the feedback loop.

Vault (Content Library)

The Vault provides quick access to important field resources.

  • Policies, procedures, and reference documents

  • Site maps, floor plans, and job aids

  • Links, videos, and training materials

  • Content filtered to what’s relevant to the user

Vault content is read-only and designed for fast access in the field.

Messaging & Support

  • In-app messaging between frontline workers and supervisors

  • Conversations tied to workflows, concerns, or actions

  • Built-in access to Help Center articles and support resources

After Completing a Workflow

Users can:

  • Review completed workflows

  • Add follow-up notes

  • Share workflows as PDFs

  • Launch related workflows (e.g., JSA → LOTO or Toolbox Talk)

Workflows can also be launched via QR codes or links for faster access.

In Summary

For frontline teams, the ANVL mobile app is their daily workspace:

  • Complete workflows

  • Fulfill assignments

  • Log concerns

  • Access critical content

  • Communicate with supervisors
