Messaging in ANVL allows direct, one-to-one communication between frontline workers and supervisors—tied to work being done in the field.

How Messaging Works

  • Messaging is accessed from:

    • The Orientation Screen, or

    • The envelope icon in the app

  • A supervisor must initiate the message thread

  • Messages are typically tied to:

    • A workflow

    • A concern or flag

    • A corrective action or follow-up

Once a supervisor starts a conversation, you can reply freely.

Sending & Receiving Messages

Within a message thread, you can:

  • Send messages (including voice-to-text)

  • Attach files, photos or videos

  • Respond in real time from the field

Messages are delivered instantly to supervisors through the Manager Dashboard.

What Messaging Is (and Isn’t)

Messaging is:

  • One-to-one communication

  • Tied to specific issues or workflows

  • Used for clarification, follow-up, or feedback

Messaging is not:

  • A group chat

  • A replacement for email or Teams

  • A general-purpose messaging app

Why Messaging Matters

Messaging helps you:

  • Get quick feedback from supervisors

  • Clarify hazards or corrective actions

  • Close the loop on issues raised in ANVL

  • Communicate without leaving the app

In Summary

Messaging in ANVL is a simple way to:

  • Communicate with your supervisor

  • Respond to findings or actions

  • Share updates from the point of work
