Answer

Use Resend Welcome Email in ANVL Insights when a new user has not logged in yet and their original welcome email or temporary password has expired. This sends a new welcome email with a fresh temporary password.

Do not use this for users who should be signing in with Single Sign On (SSO). If the user is expected to use SSO, verify their account setup and identity provider details instead of resending a welcome email.

Steps

  1. Open ANVL Insights.

  2. Go to Users.

  3. Search for the user who needs a new welcome email.

  4. Select the checkbox next to the user’s name.

  5. Open the Actions menu and select Modify User.

  6. On the user profile, select Resend Welcome Email.

Additional Details

  • Resend Welcome Email only appears if the user has never logged in.

  • If the option does not appear, the user must use Forgot Password instead.

  • Welcome emails include the username and a temporary password and are valid for 24 hours.

  • If the user does not receive the welcome email, confirm the email address on the user profile is correct, update it if needed, and then resend the welcome email.

  • Only resend a welcome email for users who are intended to use native ANVL login. For users who should use SSO, do not resend a welcome email.
