Answer

ANVL stores data on your device while you are completing work so the app can continue to function whether you are online or offline. When your device has a working internet connection, saved work uploads from the device to ANVL servers. If you are offline, the work stays on the device until it can sync.

To avoid losing data, connect your device to the internet regularly and allow time for syncing. Do not uninstall the app if work has not uploaded, because uninstalling removes device-stored data.

Steps

  1. Complete work in ANVL as normal, whether online or offline.

  2. Connect your device to the internet at least every few days so saved work can upload.

  3. Allow a few minutes for syncing to finish after reconnecting.

  4. Confirm syncing is complete before logging in again, logging out, updating the app, or uninstalling the app.

  5. Do not remove ANVL from the device if there is any chance unsynced work is still stored locally.

Additional Details

  • Device storage means work is temporarily stored on your phone, tablet, or other device while you are completing it.

  • When connected to the internet, ANVL uploads saved items to ANVL servers for long-term storage.

  • When offline, ANVL continues to save work on the device until connectivity returns.

  • You cannot log in or log out of ANVL while offline.

  • Uninstalling the app clears device-stored data. Any work that has not synced will be lost.

  • If internet access drops while a workflow is saving, ANVL keeps the workflow on the device and attempts to upload it again once the connection is restored.

  • Work stored only on the device will not appear in ANVL Insights until it has fully synced.

  • In some cases, device-stored data may be cleared during app lifecycle events such as login or app updates, so it is best to sync work before making account or app changes.

  • If you belong to many groups, the app may take longer to load after sign-in. During that time, some actions may be temporarily unavailable until loading is complete.
