What's changing
From 20 November 2026, Danish businesses that act as credit intermediaries or credit provider must register with Finanstilsynet, under new rules implementing the EU Consumer Credit Directive.
Why this doesn't apply to you as an Anyday merchant
In our partnership, Anyday is the credit intermediary. We carry out the credit assessment, arrange the financing agreement with the shopper, and hold the relevant regulatory status for that role. You, as the merchant, are simply offering Anyday's financing option to your customers at checkout. You are not the party arranging the credit agreement, so this registration requirement does not apply to you in connection with your use of Anyday.
When this might be relevant to you
If you offer any other financing or instalment solution to your customers outside of Anyday, that arrangement would need to be assessed separately, and you should speak with your own legal advisor.
