Permissions & Roles for Applause user accounts

Permissions and the roles an account is assigned, are important ways to control access in Applause and the ability to perform certain actions and see specific information.

Roles

  1. User Roles in Applause and their access levels and other insights

    1. Super Admin

      1. Log in access to my.applausehq.com/login

      2. Ability to update permissions for all other user types, including other Super Admins

      3. Ability to add other “Super Admin” users and all other user types - Admins & Employees

      4. Depending on their role in the field, at times are associated to a location(s) to send out Applause requests if they complete services.

      5. Uses the same credentials to log into the Admin portal as well as the mobile app

    2. Admin

      1. Log in access to my.applausehq.com/login

      2. Restricted on their ability to update permissions for other admins

      3. Can have all the same permissions on as a “Super Admin” but cannot add or edit any other Super Admin or Admin accounts, new or existing

      4. Depending on their role in the field, at times are associated to a location(s) to send out Applause requests if they complete services.

      5. Uses the same credentials to log into the Admin portal as well as the mobile app

    3. Employee

      1. Login access to the Applause mobile app only, credentials do not allow their user to log into the Admin portal

      2. Typically set-up and associated to a location in Applause to be able to send out Applause links to receive feedback and incentives through the mobile app

Permissions

For permissions, these are toggles that can be turned on or off for an account. For each permission and a deeper understanding around each permission enables, hover over the blue, "tool tip" icon.

  1. Permissions that display and that can be toggled on/off for every user - regardless of their role - (Super admin, admin, employee)

    1. Customer requests

      1. Manual

      2. Automated

    2. Authorized for

      1. Tips & Auto Bonuses

      2. Spot bonus

    3. Manual team payout (only displayed if you have Team Payouts turned on for your account.

If you are not seeing a specific permission of an employee account, it may be because that feature is not turned or accessible for your company

  1. Permissions to toggle on/off for super admin or admin roles

    1. Company

      1. Company Settings

      2. Company users

      3. Access to location data

        1. *must have access to one or all locations in order to see data in Reports (if your Reports permission is on, but access to location data is off, nothing will be displayed in Reports)

          1. If you are not seeing data for a certain employee, it is likely that they are a part of a location that your admin permissions are not turned on, for their specific location.

        2. *As admins, access to locations via permission allows appropriate admin access, and being associated in the details page of the company user page. Associated locations is for integration set-ups to send out messages on completed jobs.
