Where these are found for an employee:
Within a company users profile and the "Details" section, you will see a "View" button under QR Code and a "Copy" button under Personal URL for an employee if they are associated to a specific location in your account.
By clicking "View" QR Code, this shows you the QR code that you can get a screen shot and then share or print that out for an employee.
By clicking "Copy" URL, this will copy to your clipboard and allow you to paste that URL wherever desired.
FAQ
Q: What are the use cases for using a QR Code or the Personal URL for an employee?
A:
Your company does not have a CRM integration with Applause, thus you could provide QR codes to employees so customers can easily scan and that takes them to the "Personal URL" of that employee to leave them a rating, review, tip, etc.
You have users that need to manually request or send out a rating link. You can put their "(Direct) URL Applause Links" in the signature or body of an email.
Q: Do employees have access to their QR code or Personal URL in the mobile app?
A: Yes, if their Manual request toggle is turned on in their profile's permissions. Admin users can get the QR Code or URL from the Applause admin portal and share with employees via saving that image or in the top right section of "Send Applause link" in the mobile app an employee can utilize the code from their app, but the "Manual" permission, must be enabled.
Q: If a user has more than 1 location, why do they need a link for each one?
A: The settings associated to that location (asking for NPS, review only, and/or tips, will be utilized) so if your locations have different settings, each link must be different, in order to utilize those customized settings for the landing page when a customer opens up that landing page.
Limitations with using the Direct link:
Customer name data will not be found within any reports, making it very hard to know who is the one who left the NPS rating, tip, review, etc.
Without customer name data, Applause won't be able to auto-match an employee to a Public review if one was left through the Direct URL for that employee.
In order to get customer data, it is better to manually send out a request. By doing it this way, you enter Customer Name to better track this request. You can allow employees to do this through their permissions section or by manually sending it out this way.
If someone goes to the Personal URL link of an employee, this is how it appears in the "All Sent Requests" Report.
Conclusion:
It's always better to rely on the automation and manually sending messages with Applause because of the additional data tied to those messages and "unique" links that can be attributed to specific jobs and customers. There are some instances where a QR code or Personal URL makes sense, but if you have an integration with Applause or you can easily manually send a message, it is best.
