How-To: Authorize your Facebook profile in the Applause Reviews Page

Step by step process of how to bring in your Facebook business into your Applause Admin Dashboard

Updated over 6 months ago

STEP 1: On the left-hand side click into the “Reviews” Section.

STEP 2: Once this screen shows up, click "Go to settings" or just click the settings subtab.

STEP 3: Click “Add Authorization” under Reviews>Authorizations

STEP 4: Make sure you select Facebook and in this screen, click the blue “+ Authorization” button as well

STEP 5: This will then bring up a page to log into your Facebook profile.

If you go through this step and your profile doesn't pull of your Meta Business page then do the following:

If you are prompted with the "Create Business Portfolio" screen, this means that your personal Facebook profile or Facebook Business page are not yet associated with a Meta Business Suite portfolio. Please follow these steps to resolve the issue and successfully integrate your Facebook Business page with Applause:

  1. Create a Portfolio (if you don’t have one)

  2. Log into Your Facebook Business Page

  3. Open Meta Business Suite

  4. Add Your Business Page to the Portfolio

  5. Complete the Authorization Process in Applause

By following these steps, your Facebook Business page will be linked to Applause, and you'll be able to fully utilize the integration.

STEP 6: Upon completion you will see your Facebook profile in the Review authorizations page of Applause, and the corresponding Facebook review page in the Locations section

After bringing in your Meta Business page - The location(s), by default, will show up as "inactive". That is by design, and your location will be turned on to "active" by your implementation manager if you are being onboarded, or you can click into the location, add the proper Applause location associated to this listing and slide on the toggle to make it "active".
