How-To: Authorize your Google Business account in the Applause Reviews Page

Step by step process of how to bring in your Google My Business account into your Applause Admin Dashboard

STEP 1: On the left-hand of your Applause dashboard, go to “Reviews”

STEP 2: Click the blue "Go to settings" button or simply navigate to the "Settings" subtab.

STEP 3: Click “Add reviews location”, select the "Google icon, and then "+Add authorization"

STEP 4: Add the google account that has ownership or the appropriate permissions to Google listings through your Google Business Profile. This is a separate pop-up window initiated by Google, to authorize your account into Applause.

STEP 5: In order for Google Reviews to work properly within Applause, please click on the checkbox that says the following “See, edit, create and delete your Google business listings.” It is at the very bottom of the list, the top 3 are pre-selected. Then click "Continue"

STEP 6: You will be taken back to the settings page and your Google Listing will populate as a location. If you have several logins for different locations, please go through Step 2 and 3 again until all locations have been added and authorized.

After bringing in the correct Google account and your GMB (Google My Business) locations populate under Reviews locations - All locations, by default, will show up as "inactive". That is by design, and your location will be turned on to "active" by your implementation manager if you are being onboarded, or you can click into the location, add the proper Applause location to this listing and slide on the toggle to make it "active"
