Referrals - Settings

The Referrals feature enables you to set up and oversee an easy-to-use referral program, allowing customers to invite friends and receive rewards in return

Referrals must be enabled and configured by the Applause team. We’ll work with you to ensure the setup match with your goals and provides a smooth, effective experience for your customers.

How to access Referrals in your Admin Portal?

In the Applause Admin Portal, navigate to Referrals, then select Settings.

Referral Request Card
This card presents the referral experience customers encounter after the technician finishes their service. It is the point where customers are invited to refer a friend or someone they know.

2. Select a Cover Image
Choose from a collection of preselected illustrations to display to your customers when they are prompted to submit a referral.

3. Title
This is the primary message your customer will see. We recommend keeping it short, clear, and attention-grabbing to encourage engagement.

4. Description
This section allows you to provide additional context and details about your referral program. Here, you can explain what the reward is and outline how the referral process works for your customers.

5. Button Text

This is the call-to-action button that your customers will tap to engage with your referral or offer

6. Email to Alert

Please enter the email address where you’d like to receive notifications whenever a referral is submitted. If you want to send notifications to multiple addresses, separate each email with a comma.

Submission Screen:

This interface appears to customers after they click on “Someone I Know.” It provides a simple and user-friendly screen where they can enter and submit their referral’s information.

  1. Title
    You can customize this using short codes to display a personalized message for each referral, directly from the person who referred them.

  2. Description
    Use this space to give your customers a clear and inviting overview of your referral offer. Explain what rewards they can earn and outline how the referral process works, so they know exactly what to expect and feel motivated to participate.

Edit referrals by location

If your business has multiple locations, Applause enables you to manage a different referral ask, by each location. This allows for you to apply your referral messaging to all locations, or to have it different at each one. A form and way to A/B test at different locations, if desired.
