How-To: View/Edit your Reviews request messaging

Where to go in the Applause admin portal to review and/or change the review message for your Public Review only requests

If your account has public review only toggled on at a certain frequency, requests that send out of Applause will utilize a request that only asks your customer to leave a public review.

Where to locate this area of messaging:

From the Home page, navigate and click into one of your locations.

Once in a location stay in "Service settings" and under Default service settings select "Reviews"

"Review title" & "Review message" are the two text fields where the messaing in place, determines a bold Review title and the Review message that shows up in the landing page for your customers who get a Review only request.

If your account has our "Review source priorization" feature, the pencil edit button in your Reviews section will bring up the following screen to edit your messaging.


After the pencil button is clicked, you are now in the screen to "Edit review source" and will have the "Review title" & "Review message" section where Review title and the Review message verbiage can be changed. After any changes are made, make sure you click the blue button "Save review source" at the bottom right of this section.

The customer's view

In the landing page, this is how it looks in practice for your customer. The "Review title" is the text that shows up in Bold. "Review message" is the text that shows up below the "Review Title"

If you have more than 1 Applause location or you have Review Source priorization set-up for your location with multiple review sources. Please make sure the title and your review message is updated across all locations and review sources.
