Cash Out Types

The different options for a cash out in your Applause mobile app and the timing of arrival

Updated over 3 weeks ago

1. Standard: This option has no additional fee, it will take up to 2-3 business days depending on your bank's posting process.

2. Same Day: $0.99 fee and is available within 1 business day depending on the time of transfer and your bank's posting process.

Available same day by 6pm ET (when transferred before 4:00 pm ET on business days). If transfer is made on a non-business day, holiday or made after 4:00 pm ET, the transfer should be received by the end of the next business day.

  • Transfers initiated after 4:00 pm ET will not qualify for same day processing and will instead be completed at the end of the next business day. This includes transfers made after the cutoff time, on weekends, or holidays.

3. Instant: $0.99 fee and is expected within 30 minutes.

Transfers may take up to 30 minutes and vary by bank.

Timing info for all types of transfers:

Always note at the bottom of the cash out page, the expected delivery time. This is dynamic based on the type of transfer you select, and the day and time when the transfer is initiated. You will also receive a cash out confirmation email that gives you an outline on the delivery timeline. Keep in mind holidays or weekends might delay your cash out being posted by your bank as these are not normal banking, business days. Once a transfer is marked as "Completed" in our cash out details, the funds have been sent to your bank for further processing. However, the final posting of these funds into your account depends on your bank or financial institution. This means delays might occur due to differences in bank processing times.

FAQ around cash outs:

Q: Is a same day and instant transfer different?

A: "Same day" transfers are not the same as instant transfers and are subject to "working" banking days and hours. They are still much quicker to deposit than a standard transfer, as you should receive them on the same business day as when you decided to cash out, IF initiated after the 4 pm ET deadline. For this reason there is a .99 fee if you wish to choose that cash out option. All banks may not support an instant cash out type, if they do not, a same day transfer option can be available, which are subject to working bank hours, days and a cut-off time. You can always choose the standard cash out option at no cost.

  • Transfers before 4:00 pm ET on a business day should be available in your account by 6:00 pm ET. Transfers after 4:00 pm ET, on holidays, or weekends are deposited the morning or end of the next business day.

Q: Why does my account not display an instant or same day cash out option?

A: Instant and same day options are dependent upon your added bank account and what is offered.

Q: Are weekends business days?

A: Saturdays, Sundays and other bank holidays are not considered business days for banks and receiving transfers.

Q: I am still not seeing my cash out posted by bank and based on the timeline of the transfer I should have received it by now?

A: So long as the the bank account details added are correct, the cash out has been attempted to be sent to those bank details by Applause, and is in a posting process by the receiving bank. There may have been a delay in this posting process of your bank. If the bank details were incorrect or another error occurred, the cash out will fail and the funds returned to your Applause balance. Q: What happens after my transfer is marked as 'Completed'? A: Once marked as "Completed," the funds have been sent to your bank for processing. Delays in posting may occur based on your financial institution's specific processing times. To troubleshoot missing transfers, you can:

  1. Verify the transfer status in the Applause mobile app to ensure it is marked as "Completed."

  2. Confirm that the transfer was not initiated after the 4:00 pm ET cutoff or on a non-business day.

  3. Contact your bank or financial institution to inquire about potential delays in processing.
