Sky Pilot Explained
Sky Pilot is a digital download app on Shopify that allows merchants to enable digital downloads for their Shopify products.
Appstle Subscription connects with Sky Pilot to offer digital downloads with subscription products.
Setting Up Sky Pilot For Subscriptions
You should have at least one subscription plan active with at least one active product. If you haven’t set up your first subscription plan yet, you can read here for more information.
From the Sky Pilot app, add digital files to your subscription product in the Products tab by selecting your subscription product and clicking on Upload Files. You can also drag a file into the gray box
Integrating Sky Pilot and Appstle Subscription
Enable the Appstle Subscription Integration by clicking on Settings, then Subscriptions, and press Continue. The Sky Pilot app should automatically show your available subscription plans. Please note that the Subscription integration is only available for paid plans for Sky Pilot.
Find the subscription plan containing the digital product and press Add. You will see a prompt to enter your customer tags for active subscriptions.
Paste your active customer tag from Appstle Subscription and press Add again to save the tag. You can read more about subscription customer tags and where to find them here.
Your subscriptions will now offer access to your digital files for active subscribers. If any customer enters a paused or canceled state for a subscription product, they will lose access to any digital files added to that product. Please note that Sky Pilot manages file access notifications separately.
