Motivating and Rewarding Loyalty

This article covers the different ways you can encourage customer purchases using loyalty rewards, discounts, and other incentives.

Why Offer Loyalty Rewards?

There are three key advantages to offering loyalty rewards to subscribers.

  1. Boosts Retention: Rewarding subscribers with perks like a percentage discount or free shipping encourages them to stay engaged and keeps them coming back for more.

  2. Encourages Referrals: Happy subscribers are more likely to share your brand with friends, amplifying your reach and attracting new customers.

  3. Builds Community: By providing exclusive rewards, you create a sense of belonging that fosters a loyal community around your brand, driving long-term success.

Offering Discounts on Subscription Products

Step 1: Select a subscription plan you wish to add a discount, and enable Offer discount or flat rate.

Step 2: Once enabled, choose between Percent off(%), Amount off, and Fixed Price. More information on the differences can be found below.

Percent Off(%) Discounts

This is a standard discount configuration that will let you offer your subscribers a certain percent off on their subscription product(s). For example, if you entered 5 in this field, any subscription product purchased in this selling plan would get a 5% discount for each renewal.

Amount Off Discounts

This is a standard discount configuration that will let you offer your subscribers a certain dollar amount off on their subscription product(s). For example, if you entered 10 in this field, any subscription product purchased in this selling plan would get a $10 discount for each renewal.

Fixed Price Discounts

This is a standard discount configuration that will let you offer your subscribers an exact price for each of their subscription product(s). For example, if you entered 25 in this field, any subscription product purchased in this selling plan would cost exactly $25.

Accessing the Dedicated Loyalty Section within Subscriptions

For a clear view of the different loyalty discounts and rewards you have set up, navigate to any of your subscription plans and click Loyalty. This will bring up the Loyalty Configuration settings where you can add/edit loyalty discount options.

Changing the Frequency of Discounts

In the Loyalty Configuration settings, you manage the discounts that you've applied to a subscription. This includes changing the discount after a number of billing cycles.

For example, in the configuration below the initial discount we've offered is 5%. So the first subscription order will get a 5% discount automatically applied. After the first billing cycle, the discount will be changed to a fixed price discount of $1 off all future orders.
