How to configure a Volume Discount Bundle
Updated over a month ago

Introduction

With this bundle type, you can define a tiered discount system for your chosen products.

How to Configure

In the Discounted Pricing section, click to create a bundle and select Volume Discount.

Give your bundle a title, and, optionally, a description for your customers’ information.

Underneath the Tiered Discount List is Product Variants, where you can select your products you wish to offer.

Below, you can define a tiered discount system for this bundle where the more customers purchase, the greater their discount will be. You can base this on either the quantity of products purchased or an amount based on your store’s currency (dropdown in the Discount Threshold field).

For either option, when the values entered here are met in your bundle page, customers will get the discount you set below. Below, as an example, the first tier we will configure will be quantity-based, where selecting 2 products will result in a 5% discount, 3 products a 10% discount, and 4 products a 20% discount.

Set purchase type to either for one-time purchase products, subscription products, or both.

Click to save when you are finished.

Activating the Volume Discount Block in Your Store

If you scroll back up to the top, you will see a message that contains a link that will take you to your Shopify theme’s customization settings and automatically add the Appstle Volume Discount Block.

Feel free to move it to whatever part of the page works best for you in the left panel. Hit Save in upper-right in the customization settings. Now back in Appstle, hit Save in the upper-right of the configuration page.

Viewing and Testing the Bundle in your Store

Go to your storefront and look up any of the products or product variants you configured your bundle with. You should now see the volume discount information on the page.

If you want to confirm its functionality, simply click to up the quantity of this product and conduct a test purchase.

In the checkout, you should see a discount applied and the final price calculated accordingly.
