This help doc will show from start to finish how you can create multiple variants of a product in your store, and associate subscriptions for each of them to be displayed on a single page on your website.

Come to the Products section of your Shopify Admin and click the Add Product button.

You will need to enter some basic information for your product, including a title, description, an image, an appropriate price, and shipping info.

Now comes the important part, which is the Variants section. This is where you can define different aspects of your product. Examples can include different sizes, colors, and materials.

For this product, we will focus on on delivery frequencies. 3 delivery frequencies will be set as examples. Variants of this type will necessitate having different prices, which are also shown in the screenshot below.

If you wish, in the next section, purchase options, you can make it so these variants can only be purchased with a Subscription by setting the purchase options here and toggling Only show this product with these purchase options. When you are finished, hit save in the bottom right to finalize. Your product and variants are now set in Shopify.

Now to associate subscription plans to all the different variants.

So come to your Appstle dashboard, navigate to the Manage Plans section, and click to create a subscription plan.

Name this plan however you’d like, then search for the product with variants you have just created here.

Now define your subscription frequencies according to the variant names you have set (one for monthly, one for quarterly, and one for yearly). Feel free to use any of the 3 subscription types we offer, pay as you go, prepaid one time, or prepaid auto renew, depending on what you feel works best for your situation.

For more information on how to configure the 3 types of subscription plans we offer, please refer to our high-level overview help doc here and our in-depth configuration help doc here.

As an example, we will use the Pay As You Go option for 3 separate subscription plans, and make it so that all of the delivery frequencies for this product go on for a year at a time.

First, for monthly, the order frequency will be set as 1 month and the max billing iterations will be 12. This is shown in the screenshot below.

Hit save to finalize the monthly plan.

Second, for quarterly, the order frequency will be 3 months and the max billing iterations will be 4.

To further encourage going with this option, I will also attach a 20% discount to this subscription option. Hit save to finalize this plan.

Hit save to finalize the quarterly plan.

Third, for yearly, the order frequency will be 12 months and the max billing iterations will be 1.

Like with quarterly, to encourage going with this option, I will attach a discount, this time of 30%, to this subscription option.

Hit save to finalize the yearly plan.

Now all 3 subscription options for their respective variants have been set!

To view them in your store, go to your storefront, and search for the newly created product. There will be tabs for the different variants of the product you have set in Shopify, as shown in the screenshots below for the different frequencies.

Monthly

Quarterly

Yearly

Our subscription widget will appear in each one, and they will all be listed with the appropriate subscription options that were set.

Congratulations! You are now finished!
