Now that you’ve confirmed what you want to buy, it’s time to double-check the price before proceeding to checkout.
Review the total price
Before generating your checkout details, please carefully review the Total section on the page. Ensure that the price displayed is exactly what you expect.
Optional tipping
Tipping is a great way to show your appreciation to your practitioner. While tipping is completely optional, you can choose to add a tip on this page if you’d like.
For more details on the benefits of tipping and how it works, check out our blog post on tipping.
Why we’re using dollars
We utilise stablecoin technology - a non-volatile cryptocurrency that is pegged to the US dollar. Unlike other cryptocurrencies (like Bitcoin), this stablecoin does not experience wild fluctuations, making it an ideal medium for buying goods and services online.
(For an in-depth explanation, please see our blog post on how it works.)
Why you may see prices in different currencies
Artega now includes a currency toggle, allowing both practitioners and patrons. to view artwork prices in the currency that feels most familiar to them. This makes viewing, comparing, and confirming amounts much easier, no mental math required!
However, when you move to the final payment step, you’ll notice that Wert always displays the checkout amount in USD ($). This is expected. Wert processes all transactions in US dollars, and Artega doesn’t handle or modify any payment details during checkout.
Even though the final Wert screen shows USD, the amount corresponds to the same value you reviewed on Artega. It’s simply displayed in the currency Wert uses for processing.
Next steps
Once you’re satisfied with the total price (and have optionally added a tip), click Continue. Next, you’ll choose where you want your proof of agreement delivered.
