How to Edit and Customize Inventory Captions

Learn how to edit and customize inventory captions in ARTERNAL, with options for organization-wide or user-specific settings.

Inventory captions represent the work details displayed when generating PDFs or sending offers. You can customize your own captions or apply organization-wide captions. Follow these steps to edit inventory captions:

Editing Organization-Wide Captions

Step 1: Access Settings

  • In the bottom-left corner, select your account name > Settings.

Step 2: Go to Caption Formatter

  • On the settings page, navigate to Organizations > Inventory > Caption Formatter.

Step 3: View Available Caption Fields

  • Under Inventory Caption Formatter, click View available caption fields to see all the available options.

Step 4: Customize Captions

  • In the Caption Formatter text box, remove, add, or reorder captions as needed, then click Save Changes.


Editing User-Specific Captions

Step 1: Access Account-Specific Settings

  • On the same settings page, scroll down to Account and select Inventory > Caption Formatter.

Step 2: Customize Personal Captions

  • Check the box to apply and edit your personal captions.

  • In the Caption Formatter text box, edit the captions as desired, then click Save Changes.

Note:
We recommend making changes to your account-specific captions when you need to customize captions for a specific PDF, COA, or offer. This ensures the changes won’t impact Smart Mails or other PDFs generated by colleagues or across the organization. To revert to the organization's captions later, uncheck the box.
