The Load Management section in AscendTMS is your command center for tracking and managing loads by status—organized across six intuitive tabs. Each tab is tailored to support a different part of your daily workflow, helping you stay organized and efficient from quote to delivery.
🔧 Want to make it your own? You can customize both the tabs and table columns to fit your specific needs. For help on how to do so, visit the How to Customize Your Load Management Screens Help Guide below
Begin by locating the Loads tab, then select View Loads
You should now see your Load Management screen as shown below:
Active Loads
The Active Loads tab displays all loads currently in motion—typically those with a status of Dispatched, In Transit, or Driver Assigned. It’s your real-time view of everything happening right now.
Planning Loads
The Planning Loads tab includes loads that are in the works—typically those that are Pending, Booked and Awaiting Confirmation, or still Needing a Driver. It’s the perfect place to manage what’s coming up next.
Ready for Accounting Loads
The Ready for Accounting tab includes loads that are typically marked as Delivered, Paid, To Be Billed, or Complete. This tab helps you quickly identify which loads are ready to send to Accounting for invoicing, payment processing, or final review.
Misc. Loads
The Misc. Loads tab captures loads that fall outside the typical planning or active workflow—often marked as Cancelled, Claim-Related, or other custom statuses.
💼 Common Use Cases:
• Tracking loads under dispute or with delivery issues
• Archiving cancelled shipments for reporting purposes
• Managing loads that require special follow-up or review
Many users tailor this tab to match their unique operational needs, making it a flexible space for exceptions or custom workflows.
All Loads
The All Loads tab gives you a complete view of every load in your system—regardless of status. It’s your go-to for full visibility across Active, Planning, Delivered, Cancelled, and everything in between.
