When you’re working on a book with a collaborative team within Atticus, as the Owner, there are a variety of ways you can engage with your team, as well as manage the team contributions. This post will walk you through the options to manage comments and edits in the Collaboration panel, using the Find & Replace tool with collaborators, as well as deleting and exporting books with collaborators.
Collaboration Panel
In the Right Side Bar, you’ll now find the Collaboration panel, where you can view or manage the edits shared by your contributors, viewing both Comments and Track Changes.
View Content by Type
Use the dropdown menu at the top of the panel to choose what you want to view:
All: Shows all comments and edits.
Comments: Displays only comments left by collaborators.
Edits: Shows only track change edits made by collaborators.
Filter Content Status
The filter options to the right of the menu offer additional controls to
View by Comment Status:
Resolved Comments: Shows only comments that have been marked as resolved.
Unresolved Comments (default): Displays only comments that are still open for review.
Find and Replace
For book-wide Find & Replace actions, select Sync All Chapters to ensure all recent changes are applied. This is especially important if you or your collaborators have worked on multiple devices.
Exporting a Book
Before exporting, Atticus will check for unresolved changes. If any comments or tracked changes remain, a pop-up will prompt you to resolve them before proceeding.
Deleting a Book
If the book Owner deletes the book, all collaborators will be notified that the book is no longer available for collaboration. Only the Owner will be able to delete a book.
