For print versions: We recommend using the PDF file format. PDFs are the preferred file type for printers and distributors when producing paperback and hardcover versions. Using the PDF format ensures your print version retains the formatting, layout, and design as intended.
Regarding .docx exports: Keep in mind that Word does not support the complex formatting and design coding used in Atticus. Exporting to .docx will retain basic formatting and content but will not provide a fully formatted version. It can serve as a convenient editing tool and a backup version of your manuscript. However, for a fully formatted version, we recommend exporting to either ePub or PDF format.
