Why do text messages in the ePub use right alignment?

Updated over 4 months ago

Our ePub versions typically utilize simplified formatting compared to the Print version or PDF. The reason behind this is that ePubs are crafted to function seamlessly across various devices with differing capabilities. In contrast, PDFs are designed to preserve the exact formatting they were designed with, and this means that more intricate formatting can be utilized in the PDF format without concern for compatibility issues across different devices.

Currently, the text messaging feature in our ePub version utilizes mixed alignment—left alignment for incoming messages and right alignment for outgoing messages. This is a common approach in publishing which ensures that text messages can be rendered consistently across a wide array of devices and systems without encountering compatibility issues.
