Overview
When sending a message, you can use dynamic tags (also referred to as merge tags) to personalize, or send unique values (like purchasing codes) in an email or SMS message.
Notes:
Ensure your number of codes matches the number of email addresses.
Use the CSV file that's provided in the platform.

Dynamic tag fallbacks
When using dynamic tags you need to add fallbacks. Fallbacks serve as backup values in case a tag can’t be populated—for example, if you insert a dynamic tag for a name but a contact doesn’t have one, your fallback (like “Hey there”) will appear instead. You can easily add fallbacks by clicking the “Preview” drop-down menu in the email builder.
Preview dynamic tags
Before sending an email that includes dynamic tags, you can preview how they’ll appear. Just click the “Preview” drop-down at the top of the page and select “Preview dynamic tags” to see your tags in action.

Recommended fallbacks for unique codes
Unique codes are generated through your ticketing platform. If you want to include a fallback, we suggest:
Adding a general code that’s accessible to all fans.
Including a note like: “Contact the promoter (promoters@email.com) if your code doesn’t appear”.
You can't use any special characters in your fallbacks-this will cause an error.
