How to Lock an API Client πŸ”’

Locking an API client is a key security feature that allows you to disable or deactivate an API client, preventing unauthorized access.

Step 1: Access the IAM Functionality

  1. Log in to LiveHub using your administrator credentials.

  2. Navigate to IAM (Identity and Access Management) from the left-hand menu.


Step 2: Access API Clients

  1. In the IAM interface, click on API Clients in the navigation menu.

  2. The API Clients List will display all API clients associated with your account.


Step 3: Edit the API Client

  1. Locate the API client you wish to lock in the list.

  2. Click Edit next to the corresponding API client to access its management options.


Step 4: Lock the API Client

  1. In the API client settings, click the Lock button.

  2. The Status field will update to show the client as Locked.


Step 5: Verify the Lock Status

  1. Confirm that the API client is now marked as Locked in the API Clients List.


To Unlock an API Client:

If you need to unlock the API client, click the Unlock button in the same interface. The status will update to Active.

Locking an API client ensures sensitive data and system access remain secure by disabling unauthorized or inactive connections. This is an essential step for maintaining platform security.
