How to Connect Microsoft Azure Bots 🤖

Integrating Microsoft Azure Bots with AudioCodes LiveHub allows you to enhance voice services with advanced bot capabilities.

Live Hub connects to a bot built on the Microsoft Bot Framework over its Direct Line channel. All Live Hub needs is the channel's secret key.

Get the Direct Line secret key

  1. Open your bot in Azure

    • Sign in to the Azure portal, and select your bot.

  2. Open Channels

    • In the navigation pane, select Channels.

  3. Open Direct Line

    • Click Direct Line, and set the channel up for Direct Line version 3.0 if you have not already.

  4. Copy the key

    • Under Secret Keys, click Show, and copy the value.

Create the bot connection in Live Hub

  1. Start a bot connection

    • In the Navigation pane, select Bot connections, and click Add new voice bot connection.

  2. Choose the framework

    • Select Microsoft Bot Framework, and then click Next.

  3. Name the connection

    • In the 'Bot connection name' field, enter a name.

  4. Paste the key

    • In the 'Secret key' field, paste the key you copied from Direct Line.

  5. Choose the region

    • From the 'Live Hub region' drop-down list, select the region your Live Hub voice infrastructure runs in.

  6. Continue

    • Click Next.

  7. Choose speech services

    • Select a speech-to-text service and a text-to-speech service.

  8. Create

    • Click Create.
