Instructional text can be created on the general application, and on scholarship additional requirements. Its primary purpose is to share information with your applicants that you may need during the application period from them. These can be instructions on how to fill out the application, the review and awarding process, any important dates, etc.
General Application
Scroll to the bottom of any section on your general application, under Create Question, and click the Instructional Text option.
A text box will appear allowing you to type in the text, which you can customize using the toolbar. Once you are satisfied with your text, click Save.
Below is an example of using Instructional Text to provide applicants with a certification statement to review before they submit the application.
Scholarship Additional Requirements
Select a scholarship from your Scholarships tab, click the Additional Requirements tab, then click Add Question under the category that fits your needs.
Then click the Instructional Text option.
A text box will appear, allowing you to type in the text and customize it using the toolbar. Under Additional Requirements, the toolbar also includes an option to attach a document for applicants to download.
Below is an example of using Instructional Text to provide applicants with details about the next steps in the awarding process.
This is how the Instructional Text will appear on the applicant's dashboard.
Note: The option to attach a document for applicants to download within Instructional Text is only available under a specific scholarship's Additional Requirements.
This type of attachment is not available in the Instructional Text editor on the General Application. However, you may include a hyperlink instead.
