What's New in AwardSpring
Shape the Task Board around your work, run every report from one place, and enjoy a more consistent feel across the platform. This release introduces Task Board customization, brings Static Reports into Smart Reports, and rounds things out with a healthy batch of improvements and fixes.
#1: Task Board: Customize the board to match how you work
The Task Board now bends to your workflow instead of the other way around. You can choose your columns per tab, edit manual tasks right from the board, and see award cycle context at a glance.
Choose your columns, per tab
Click the new Edit Columns button on any list tab (My Tasks, All Tasks, Scholarship Tasks, or Overdue) to choose which columns appear and drag them into the order you want. Each tab keeps its own layout, so My Tasks can stay lean while All Tasks shows everything. Your choices are saved automatically, and a Reset to Default link brings back the original layout anytime.
Edit manual tasks without leaving the board
Open a manual task's slideout and every field is editable in place - title, notes, status, priority, assignee, due date, and more. Each field saves on its own, so you can fix one detail at a time, and the board updates instantly.
Award cycle context at a glance
Follow-up rows now show the Award Cycle name right under the scholarship name, so you can tell which cycle a task belongs to without opening it.
A cleaner page layout
The Task Board now matches the modern look of the rest of the admin experience - the header and navigation stay put while the task list scrolls on its own.
#2: Smart Reports: All your reports in one place
Static Reports now live inside Smart Reports, and the reports list gives you more context at a glance.
Run Static Reports from the Smart Reports flow
On Step 1, you'll find a new Static Reports tile alongside the existing report types. Pick it, choose the report you need from the dropdown, apply the filters that report uses, and download - that's the whole flow. No column setup needed; these reports come with their columns ready to go. The reports produce exactly the same output you're used to - this just brings them into the same place you build everything else. The original Stock Reports page is still available in its current home for now.
More context on your reports list
The Active Reports list now shows each report's row count under its name, and the Created column shows who created the report along with the date. The Downloads tab has been renamed History to better reflect what it holds.
A guardrail for very wide reports
Reports are now limited to 100 columns, with a running count in the column picker so you can see where you stand. This keeps reports inside the range where they run reliably - very wide reports were the main culprit behind report failures on large datasets.
Smaller improvements
See your custom fields on the Scholarships list: A new Edit Columns button lets you add your custom scholarship fields as columns, with sorting, filtering, and export included.
Set disbursement dates freely: You can now set a disbursement date to any date your institution needs, including before the application close date.
Give your first disbursement a term name: Label a scholarship's first disbursement (like "Spring 2026"), and that name carries through to the Disbursement Status popup and cycle-to-cycle copying.
Large imports are faster and more reliable: Files with up to 50,000 records now process in batches, fixing the slow processing some of you saw on very large donor uploads, with clear success and exception feedback after upload.
Consistent pagination on every list: Every paginated table now uses the same pagination bar - row counts, rows per page, and a go-to-page box, anchored to the bottom of the table.
Simpler Review navigation: Groups and Assignments are now tabs at the top of the Review page instead of sub-items in the left navigation.
A cleaner look for popups: Popup windows on admin pages now use one consistent dimmed background that covers the whole screen.
