Release: Bulk add colors to Products and Components

You can now bulk add color swatches to products and components in just a few clicks!

Key Benefits

  • Create your products and components faster - you can select multiple color swatches at once

  • Decrease the number of clicks when you're adding color swatches - you no longer need to save every time you add a color swatch

  • Prevent duplication of swatches in your palettes - you now have a universal search available when adding color swatches

What's changing?

  • The Add Swatch button will no longer require you to opt between an "Enter Manually" option and a "Find Existing" option at the outset.

  • Clicking this button opens a modal directing you to a universal search, in case the swatch you need already exists.

  • If you find no matches for your query, you can simply click the Create Swatch button to open the new swatch modal.

    • Your search term will pre-populate the new swatch modal to make creation quick and easy.

  • You can now select multiple color swatches at once:

How to bulk add colors to a product:

  1. Click the pencil icon to edit the product.

  2. Under the Colorway section, there is a new button + Add Swatch.

  3. A pop-up modal will appear called Find a Swatch.

  4. The palette dropdown will be set to All Swatches.

  5. In the Search Palettes field, you can begin typing the color swatch you're looking for and this will search "All Swatches" by default.

    • Alternatively, you can use the Palette dropdown to refine your search results to a specific Palette to find the swatch you're looking for.

  6. Results will begin to appear, and you can click through to find the color swatches you're looking for.

How to bulk add colors to a component:

  1. From the component summary, select variants on the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click the + icon in the bottom right-hand corner.

  3. A pop-up modal will appear called Create & Edit Variants.

  4. Click the + Add Swatch button.

  5. The Palette dropdown will be set to All Swatches.

  6. In the Search Palettes field, you can begin typing the color swatch you're looking for and this will search "All Swatches" by default.

    • Alternatively, you can use the Palette dropdown to refine your search results to a specific Palette to find the swatch you're looking for.

  7. Results will begin to appear, and you can click through to find the Swatches you're looking for.
