Backbone’s combination of Custom Field creation in conjunction with our Item View Reports, offers incredible flexibility to house and transfer virtually any type of data to third party technology platforms. This includes Shopify!

Using our Item View Reports and Custom Fields, you have the ability to match Shopify’s product template .CSV file to create your own Shopify export template. Once everything is in CSV format, you can easily manipulate columns to suit your needs. So let’s get started - all you need to do is follow these 8 steps to success:
First, Create Custom Fields inside the Admin of your Backbone account that align with what you want to use in shopify.
We can even use our custom field dividers to keep track of which fields are for Shopify.
Then, we’ll Store appropriate data in those Custom Fields we created.
To do that we’ll need to use the item view module. Enter there and hit the “+” button in the top right hand part of the Library to begin creating.
Name your template (for example: Shopify Export Template) and upload an image if you’d like.
Next, Link appropriate Taxonomies and Select relevant products whose data you wish to transfer.
Step five, Select the Custom Fields you’ve created that align with the shopify template you are building.
Once you enter into your template, click column manager to select the fields. Since we want to make it as close as possible to what shopify gave us we’ll only select the custom fields we created for shopify (there are a couple fields you cannot deselect but these columns can be removed once exported)
Then, drag the remaining columns into the proper order to match Shopify’s template to minimize work after you export
After that, Click the “Export to CSV” button at the top right
Finally, Once exported, make your final manipulations to upload into your Shopify account
