Shared Tech Pack Folders allow users to share live link Tech Packs with third parties. This allows users to share multiple Tech Packs with different vendors and clients in a folder experience (Backbone access not required), streamlined Tech Pack ledger experience with inline viewing to increase efficiency, and a separate Collab App for vendor log-in.
How to create a Shared Folder:
From the Global Navigation, click the Shared Folder Icon
Click the blue Create Folder Button at the top right corner. This will bring up a Create Shared Folder modal:
This modal allows you to name your shared folder and the ability to add one or more email addresses of internal/external users you would like to share the folder with.
When adding users to the folder, you'll have options to select previous users you have added, as well as the option to add a new user.
After you have added a name for the folder and email address to share, click the blue Create button.
You will now see your new folder displayed in line with other folders you have created.
Next, click on the name of the folder to enter the folder and access Tech Packs.
Once in the folder, you will see another inline viewer of all the Tech Packs housed within the folder.
This will display the name of the Tech Pack, product, style #, the date the Tech Pack was added, and details including the number of attachments and individuals shared on the folder.
The 3 dot ellipse will allow you to download, share, or remove the Tech Pack from the folder.
You also have the ability to click on the in-line Tech Pack and it will open the Tech Pack from this modal without having to download it first.
From this screen, you have the ability to view all of the pages of the Tech Pack, download or print the file, as well as, see any attachments that were created when the Tech Pack was made.
Creating and adding Tech Packs to a Folder:
From the Tech Pack section in a product record, you have a slightly updated creation experience:
Click the new blue Create Tech Pack button In the top right corner.
From here the experience of creating a Tech Pack is the same process, select everything needed and press create.
After the Tech Pack is created, it will appear in the updated Tech Pack ledger on this screen.
You will also see the name, created by, created date, and details including the number of attachments included in this Tech Pack.
If you hover over the line, you will see a three-dot ellipse on the right. Clicking this gives you the option to download, share, and delete this Tech Pack.
Clicking Download initiates a download to your system
Clicking Share brings up a modal that allows you to add the Tech Pack to an existing folder, create a new folder for the Tech Pack, or create a public link.
Clicking Delete allows you to delete the Tech Pack.
How to bulk add Tech Packs to a Folder:
From the Product Library, you can bulk add Tech Packs to a folder.
From the Global Navigation, click the Products module.
Click the filter icon to narrow the products displayed.
For example, if you wanted to send all Tech Packs for Spring 2022.
Click the checkbox in the upper left-hand corner of the products you wish to add to a folder.
In the bulk action toolbar, you can Select All products then click the Share icon.
A pop-up modal that allows you to add the Tech Packs to a shared folder or share the public links.
Your vendor will receive a notification that the folder has been modified or shared with them.
How vendors access the Folder:
