Sharing Access
You can share access to your own Backpack profile, or one of the additional profiles in your Backpack. You’ll want to make sure you are in the correct Backpack profile before sharing access. To share access to a loved one’s information, first open up their profile in your Backpack.
Once you have the correct profile open, to share access:
Select Access from the main menu.
Select Invite someone to share access and enter the email address of a new co-owner.
You will now see a Pending invitation in your or your loved one's profile under Access.
Once your co-owner accepts the invitation, they will have full access to that person's information. If they don’t already have an account with Backpack Health, they will be asked to sign up.
Tip for success:
For sharing your profile, you will always have the ability to remove someone you’ve previously shared with at any time.
When sharing an additional profile in your account, once the other person has accepted your invitation, they will have the same access as you do to the shared profile and you cannot remove their access.
Giving someone access to their Backpack
If you have created a Backpack for someone you are caring for, you can also grant them access to this Backpack.
Once you have the correct profile open:
Select Access from the main menu
Select Give [NAME] access to this Backpack
Enter their email address
You will now see a Pending invitation in your loved one’s profile under Access
Once this person accepts your invitation, they will have full access their Backpack. If they don’t already have an account on Backpack Health, they will be asked to sign up.
Removing Access & Ownership
To remove yourself as the owner of an additional profile:
Open the Backpack of the person you would like to remove your access to.
Select Access from the main menu
Select your name at the top
Select Remove my access. This will remove the profile from your Backpack but not delete it from the system.
Confirm to relinquish your access and ownership.
Deleting an Additional Profile
You can delete an additional profile as long as you are not sharing access with anyone else. If you are, request that everyone shared with that person remove their access before following these steps.
Open the Backpack of the person you would like to remove your access to.
Confirm that there are no shared users. If there are, ask them to delete their access.
Select Profile from their Main Menu.
Select Delete this Backpack.
Confirm your actions to delete the profile and all of its data.
