You can stay prepared by making your Emergency Share Card accessible from your phone’s lock screen. That way, your critical health info will always be there for you if you need it, even if you can’t speak for yourself. Choose any photo to create a wallpaper image with:

  • A scannable QR code that goes directly to your Emergency Share Card

  • Your Emergency Share Card URL + Access Code

Note: This feature is available on iPhones and Android phones only (not iPads or tablets).

Create Your Wallpaper Image

To make your Emergency Share Card information accessible from your phone’s lock screen, first create the wallpaper image:

  1. Select Share Cards from the Main Menu.

  2. Open your Emergency Share Card.

  3. Tap Create Emergency wallpaper with URL and QR code.

  4. You’ll be prompted with a request for Backpack’s permission to access your photos, if you haven’t granted it already. Tap OK to proceed.

  5. Choose the image you’d like to use from your Photo Library or device storage.

  6. Move and scale the image so it looks just right.

  7. Tap Save in the top right corner.

  2. Open your phone’s Settings and then select Wallpaper.

  3. Tap Choose a New Wallpaper and select the new image you created from your Photo Library.

  4. Pinch and zoom to adjust your wallpaper – make sure the image is scaled so that the whole URL and QR code fit on your screen.

  5. Tap Set, then Set as Lock Screen.
