How to Prepare for Your First Lesson (Checklist)

A step-by-step guide to help you feel confident and well-prepared before your first private Thai lesson with BananaThai.

Checklist: Before Your First Lesson

Make sure you’ve completed the following steps:

  • ✅ Received your confirmation email
    It includes your schedule, teacher details, Zoom link, and package information.

  • ✅ Reviewed the rescheduling and cancellation policy
    Understand your package’s rescheduling limits and advance notice requirements.

  • ✅ Accessed your shared Google Doc
    This will be used throughout your course to take notes, share feedback, and track progress.

  • ✅ Downloaded your learning materials

    • Textbook PDF

    • Audio files for conversation practice:

    • Quizlet flashcards

  • ✅ Watched the pronunciation introduction

    • Introduction to Thai pronunciation and transliteration

  • ✅ Tested your Zoom access
    Make sure your microphone, camera, and internet connection are working.

After the First Lesson

  • Review notes and any homework shared in the Google Doc (Find the link in the confirmation email sent after your payment)

  • Watch the recorded lesson and save the recorded lesson to your device. The recordings automatically expire in 10 days.

  • Revisit the course materials and flashcards to reinforce what you learned.

For a private 1-on-1 lesson, please request the teacher to record the class and give their permission. Otherwise, we won't record it.
