BananaThai Group Lessons Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") apply to all students enrolling in group lessons with BananaThai. By signing up for our group lessons, you ("the student") agree to be bound by the terms outlined in this document. Please read this Agreement carefully before proceeding with your lessons.
1. Group Thai Lessons Overview
BananaThai offers the following group lesson programs:
Intensive Thai 1 (Chapters 1-8) – 24 hours to be completed within 8 weeks.
Intensive Thai 2 (Chapters 9-16) – 24 hours to be completed within 8 weeks.
Intensive Thai 3 (Chapters 17-24) – 24 hours to be completed within 8 weeks.
Intensive Thai 4 (Chapters 25-32) – 24 hours to be completed within 8 weeks.
Ultimate Thai Reading – 40 hours to be completed within 10 weeks.
Read Thai Exercise Book 1 – 20 hours to be completed within 5 weeks.
Read Thai Exercise Book 2 – 20 hours to be completed within 10 weeks.
Thai Pocket Book 1 – 30 hours to be completed within 10 weeks.
Thai Pocket Book 2 – 30 hours to be completed within 10 weeks.
Program Details
Each program includes a downloadable coursebook that will be provided 3 days prior to the starting date, along with other relevant preparatory materials.
Each class will be recorded for review and improvement purposes. After each lesson, the teacher will upload the class notes and recorded videos to Google Drive, where they will be shared with students for future review.
An email thread will be created by the BananaThai Teacher Team, connecting students with their teacher. Students may communicate directly with the teacher, with BananaThai monitoring the thread to ensure lesson quality and provide ongoing support. Please always keep the BananaThai Teacher Team (teacherteam.bananathai@gmail.com) copied in all communications.
2. Terms of Attendance, Postponement, and Cancellation
Scheduled Classes
The dates and times for group classes are preset by BananaThai. All classes will be held according to the predetermined schedule.
If BananaThai needs to reschedule a class, students will be notified at least 5 days in advance.
Attendance Policy
BananaThai does not offer time compensation for late arrivals or absences due to personal reasons. Students are expected to attend all classes at the scheduled times.
If a student misses a class, they will be able to view the recorded video of the lesson to stay on track with the program.
Makeup and Additional Classes
Students who wish to book a 1-on-1 makeup class or an additional lesson to supplement their group learning can do so by contacting BananaThai. The fee for a 1-on-1 lesson is 600 baht per hour.
3. Termination of Classes
Student-Initiated Termination
If a student wishes to discontinue their lessons with a teacher, they should contact the BananaThai Teacher Team to discuss potential solutions, including the possibility of switching to a different teacher.
School-Initiated Termination
BananaThai reserves the right to discontinue teaching any student who engages in inappropriate behavior, including, but not limited to, the use of improper language, aggressive behavior, or threatening remarks towards BananaThai staff or teachers.
Refund Policy
There is no refund policy for group lesson packages. However, the BananaThai Teacher Team will work with students to find solutions on a case-by-case basis.
4. Respect for Intellectual Property Rights
All course materials provided by BananaThai are the intellectual property of BananaLingo PTE. LTD. Students are prohibited from reproducing, modifying, copying, or republishing any learning materials without prior written permission.
Any violation of intellectual property rights will result in legal action under the applicable intellectual property laws.
5. Miscellaneous
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
By enrolling in BananaThai group lessons, the student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined above.
