Comparisons

1. Customization & Personalization

  • 1-on-1 Lessons: Tailored specifically to the student’s background, level, and goals. The student receives personalized attention and works with the same teacher throughout the course.

  • Group Lessons: Structured with a fixed curriculum for all students in the group. Students benefit from group interactions and shared experiences, with the same teacher leading the group throughout the course.

2. Trial Lesson

  • 1-on-1 Lessons: A 60-minute trial lesson is available for 500 baht. This allows students to evaluate the fit before committing to a package.

  • Group Lessons: Students who are interested in group classes can take a 60-minute 1-on-1 trial lesson or join a group webinar held every month to assess the learning environment.

3. Lesson Packages

  • 1-on-1 Lessons: Packages are offered in 12, 15, 25, and 50-hour options, with credits valid for specific time frames. Students can reschedule up to 4 times for the 25-hour package, and up to 3 times for the 12-hour and 15-hour packages. Credits may roll over to the next package under conditions.

  • Group Lessons: Programs are structured with specific hours and timelines, such as 24 hours over 8 weeks for Intensive Thai courses. There is no option for individual rescheduling; students must adhere to the fixed schedule.

4. Attendance & Rescheduling

  • 1-on-1 Lessons: Students must notify at least 12 hours in advance to reschedule without losing credit. Missed classes are marked as no-shows if the student does not join within 20 minutes.

  • Group Lessons: No compensation for missed classes. Students can view recorded lessons to stay on track. Makeup classes can be booked at an additional cost.

5. Course Materials

  • 1-on-1 Lessons: Students receive course materials, including books and exercises, and can access class notes via Google Drive after payment is complete.

  • Group Lessons: Coursebooks and other preparatory materials are provided 3 days before the course starts. Class recordings and notes are also available for review via Google Drive.

6. Payment & Termination

  • 1-on-1 Lessons: Full payment is required within 2 days to confirm the reserved slot. Termination of lessons is possible with no refund for unused credits. Students can request to switch teachers if needed.

  • Group Lessons: No refund policy for group lesson packages. If a student wants to change the teacher or course due to a mismatch in personality, they need to inform the BananaThai team at least 2 weeks after the course starts.
